Solar wind
speed: 566.3 km/sec
High-latitude sky watchers should remain alert for auroras as a mild geomagnetic storm begins to subside. The source of the disturbance is a fast solar wind stream buffeting Earth's magnetic field. Earth's magnetic field is reverberating from three days of buffeting by a high-speed solar wind stream.
