Comet Lovejoy Plunges into the Sun and Survives‏ HD

Could you possibly imagine the size of this dirty snowball riding the corona of our sun at some billion degrees? Someone said about 500 miles in diameter approx. estimate. I wouldn’t be surprised if in some days after further analysis it’ll be estimated at twice the size of our earth. (approx. over 18,000 miles in diameter) we will see what the verdict is.

It was exciting to watch this and I actually cheered for the comet.
